Location: 147 long hall

This is a 9-month, non-tenure track Lecturer position with an anticipated start date of August 2017. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate microbiology majors courses in scientific writing and pathogenic bacteriology, among others, for a total course load of 2 classes per semester. The position is for one year, but may be renewed for an additional year, contingent on departmental needs and a satisfactory performance review during the first year.

Required qualifications include a PhD in Microbiology or related area at the time of appointment, peer-reviewed publications, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching. Preferred qualifications include experience in teaching scientific writing and/or bacterial pathogenesis.
