**Open only to internal candidates at University of North Texas Health Science Center**The Correctional Medicine Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Health Business Specialist to join our team. The major responsibilities of the Health Business Specialist shall include, but not be limited to, ensure accurate and timely pricing, charge entry, and invoicing of contract services provided under UNTHSC's Comprehensive Medical Services contracts with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and other assigned departmental contracts and agreements. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Ensuring accurate medical pricing, accurate analysis of medical coding, timely charge entry, and efficient invoice processing for services rendered under CMD's assigned contracts and/or agreements.* Effectively coordinate and process accurate charge entry and medical claims using CMD's NextGen Enterprise Practice Management System (EPM), MicroSoft Office, and other database software applications. * Coordinate accurate charge entry data and feedback for the Business Office Manager to assist in producing monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for contract customers and/or UNTHSC Executive Staff.* Assist the Business Office Manager with contract administration duties related to Business Office operations including tracking and trending clinical utilization and related charge entry and provider payments.* Maintain and improve the contractual relationship between UNTHSC and CMD contract customers including Correctional Network providers and facilities.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
