The College of Business-Dean's Office at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist IV to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Work involves the responsibility for complex problems and departmental situations. * The person who holds this position must exercise independent judgment, take initiative in seeking and applying constructive practices and solutions to complex procedural and departmental matters. * This is the first point of interface for on Campus contacts made by various stakeholders (Students, Faculty, Staff, Board Members, Corporate Sponsors, etc.). * This position is responsible for non-routine administrative support for the Dean's Office which includes purchasing, travel, stakeholder correspondence, data compilation, reporting, calendar/scheduling, and oversight of student workers.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and four years of progressively responsible office administration experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Intermediate MS Office skills.* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple assignments effectively.* Ability to work on tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.* Knowledge of basic accounting/budgeting procedures.* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.* Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
