The College of Business Dean's Office at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Recruiting Specialist I to join our team in our Undergraduate Advising and Student Services Office. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Contact and recruit students, have a working knowledge of College of Business degree programs and requirements.* Make recruitment presentations related to the college's programs, address and inform families about myriad educational opportunities in the college. * Support departments in the college with events geared toward prospective students. * Work closely with the UNT Admissions office to maximize recruitment efforts and resources.* Develop and support recruitment initiatives.* Oversee student tour guides.* Assist with College of Business Ambassadors as needed.* Work closely with University Relations, Communications and Marketing office in the development of recruitment marketing materials.* Develop prospective student communiques and serve as their point of contact.* Assist with new student orientation as needed.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and one year of experience in recruiting, academic advising, counseling, student services, or related experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).* Knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).* Strong presentation skills.* Strong problem solving skills.* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing.* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.* Ability to work independently.
