The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Construction Manager to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* The primary responsibility of the Capital Planner is to coordinate planning and assessment of capital improvement projects in conjunction with campus leadership to align with the university's master plan, strategic plan and development goals. * The position will be responsible for evaluation and assessment efforts of physical facilities, development of short-range and long-range capital improvement plans, lead efforts for data collection and reporting on building performance. * Work with campus constituents on funding models for capital plan. * Collect, analyze, adapt and develop quantitative and qualitative graphic information for presentations and reports to campus leadership to determine strategic plan for capital program.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related area and five years of professional construction management, construction inspection, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Physical ability to access work areas which may be in confined spaces or elevated heights.* Knowledge of appropriate safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.* Proficiency in specific software may be required.* Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle, and maintain coverage under University auto insurance policy, if required to drive University vehicles.
