University of North Texas Health Science Center - Project Coordinator / Hispanic Wellness Coalition
* This position is a part-time benefits eligible position.The School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator / Hispanic Wellness Coalition to join our team. The Project Coordinator position is a 20-hour per week role responsible for the routine management activities of the Hispanic Wellness Coalition (HWC) and Carnaval de Salud. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Attend and organize Hispanic Wellness Coalition Board meetings and North Texas Wellness Fair Steering Committee Meetings. * Attend and organize Carnaval de Salud.* Letters of invitation to potential exhibitors and past exhibitors for both fairs.* Submit grants for both fairs.* Grant reporting after event.* Responsible for monthly financial reports.* Manage approved budget.* Fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support the HWC's mission.* Plan HWC retreat with Past-President.* Interface and engage with and motivate board members and other volunteers.* Plan and attend the Volunteer Orientation in July.* Public speaking.* Review and approve contracts for services.* Update website.* Oversee HWC Facebook page.* Oversee marketing and other communication efforts.* Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the community.* Attendance at other meetings needed to perform the role of Executive Director.* Preparation of materials for Board meetings, retreats, and Steering Committee meetings, including agendas and minutes.* Assisting the Treasurer with the preparation of financial statements.* Assisting the Steering Committee with the development of the North Texas Wellness Fair, including solicitation of sponsors. * Supervision of Steering committee's.* Other duties needed to perform the Executive Director role as assigned by the Chair of the Board.* Project Coordinator reports to the Chair of the Board of Hispanic Wellness Coalition.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
