The Transportation Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Director I to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Provides planning expertise to manage UNT's Shuttle and e-ride services and transit planning and project development activities.* Manages projects of all significance, including developing solutions for difficult problems/tasks that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity. * This employee reports to the Transportation Services Director while exercising discretion in the performance of daily responsibilities. * Independently applies advanced planning techniques and analysis within the transit planning discipline.* Manages the day to day operation of the UNT shuttle with our service provider, Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA). * Support DCTA in the management of the compilation and submission of National Transit Database (NTD) statistical information, and other FTA, state, or North Central Texas Council of Governments reports.* Manages the implementation of Service Standards as they relate to UNT Shuttle Services.* Assists in the development and administration of grants in conjunction with DCTA, develop funding recommendations for other federal grant programs including CMAQ, TX DOT, and various MPO funding initiatives, as necessary to enhance UNT's Shuttle services.* Provide support during the development and administration of the annual operating budget.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and six years of closely related professional experience.
