The Career Center at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director I - Internships - CENG - CoI to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Managing all activity related to Internships on behalf of the Career Center for the entire campus. * Manages and oversees all activity for the Career Center at Discovery Park including the College of Engineering and the College of Information. * Interface with and provide career advising for Alumni and Graduate students through both scheduled appointments and walk-in appointments for the colleges listed above. * Supervises SSCII (Career Development Specialist) any Graduate student(s) and student assistants. * Develops ongoing relationships with faculty and administration, and works cooperatively with the Career Center Team regarding programming, activities and departmental initiatives. * Develops and conducts workshops and classroom presentations on a variety of topics pertinent to the College of Engineering , College of Information students and the internship program. * Assist the Associate Director and Director in the area of data collection for the Internship Program and the Career Center at Discovery Park.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and three years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
