The Grants and Contracts Management Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Senior Grant and Contract Analyst to join our team. The Senior Grant and Contract Analyst will work closely with internal program staff, assessing in long term strategy, operation and re-allocation of grants. Monitor, analyze and reports variances, expenditure and trends. Develops cost and funding analysis. Monitors compliance with grand funding regulations. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Management of active account files and close out.* Ensure compliance of extramurally funded projects with award requirements and UNTSHC policies.* Establish awards in the PeopleSoft/EIS system. Set up grant accounts in EIS and various other application databases.* Coordinate contracts and sub-contracts.* Review and approve purchase orders and payroll forms on grant accounts as well as other types of expenditures.* Prepare estimated costs and projected account balances as requested.* Coordination of various grant management issues, including budget concerns, invoicing, and account status with faculty/department administrators as well as sponsors and subcontractors.* Develop and Maintain Departmental Contacts.* Process various accounting system entries including corrections and transfers.* Present workshops and provide ad hoc, personal training to faculty and department administrators.* Function as a backup support for grant accountants.* Assist with policies and procedures and assist with audits.
