The F&A Organizational Development Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Business Operations Trainer (Assistant Director II) to join our team. This is a professional training role responsible for the delivery and implementation of learning and development solutions that helps the organization prepare for growth and change through end-to-end design, development and implementation of programs. This role will need to use a variety of learning methodologies to most effectively relay the material. The Business Operations Trainer reports to the Assistant Vice President for Organizational Behavior and is responsible for business process training in and across campus departments. Works in conjunction with the Business Process Analyst in the development and delivery of training programs. A key contributor to the success of on-going business improvements.Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Facilitates learning via classroom instruction and the web; incorporates a variety of presentation methods and applications to accommodate adult learning styles* Provides training focused on business processes, business operations, and related compliance* Delivers new hire training and other departmental training programs; provides creative, effective classroom and online instruction throughout the organization* Manages classroom environment, analyzes results and identifies gaps in training needs* Designs leader and participant guides, job aids, training curriculum and other required coursework that is clear, concise and accurate* Conducts comprehensive needs analysis to ensure that training fulfills the needs and objectives of the University* Creates exercises, instructional activities and training assessments that reinforce learning* Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop and improve curriculum* Explores new ideas for improved workflow and automation enhancements* Supports departmental initiatives and identifies ways to enhance training effectiveness* Performs various other tasks as assigned by manager* Observes safety, security and confidentiality precautions appropriate to work performed (applicable to all non-classified staff)The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. Minimum Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in business or training and development* Minimum four (4) years of professional facilitation; experience must be in a training or process improvement capacity* Direct, identifiable and proven experience commensurate with earned degrees may be considered in certain circumstances. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Able to interact and communicate effectively with other employees in a professional manner* Able to present ideas, concepts, and materials to a large or small audience* Willingness and desire to learn multiple learning curriculums across business functions* Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks* Able to identify and adapt to various adult learning styles* Able to develop and present materials in various formats such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF* Excellent writing skills are required and candidate may be required to demonstrate such skills* Exceptional facilitation, presentation and listening skills* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Strong writing skills, attentive to details and capacity to develop quality training material* Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization* Proven initiative, positive attitude, team oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic* Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to a changing business environment* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport* Committed to excellence, has strong work ethic and takes pride in their work * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook
