Postdoctoral Associate - Pediatrics Neurology
A postdoctoral position is available in the Kang Laboratory in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. The main project for this position focuses on the genetics of muscular dystrophy, taking advantage of next generation sequencing techniques and other current approaches to gene discovery. A strong background in genetics and/or molecular biology is expected, as well as an interest in muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. Experience with cloning, tissue culture, and/or animal models of human disease would be helpful. Good written and oral communication skills are desirable.
Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience, within the NIH Guidelines.
Successful candidates will need to have a Ph.D. and/or MD degree or equivalent.
0 – 2 years of postdoctoral experience.
