Summary of Duties:
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Washington State University (WSU) is inviting applications for a full-time (100% FTE) 12-month per year, non-tenure-track lab instructor position in Electrical Engineering, based in Everett, WA.
The lab instructor is responsible for lab instruction and establishing laboratory experiments in support of the upper division courses in the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) program. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses, establishing, maintaining, and documenting lab policy, operations and procedures, ensuring lab regulatory and safety compliance, and maintaining and repairing lab equipment and tools, and other duties as assigned by the School Director.
The lab spaces include, but are not limited to, an RF/Power lab, Circuits lab, Hardware/Software Computer lab, and Capstone Design Studio. Primary courses supported include EE 352 (Electrical Engineering Laboratory) and EE 362 (Power System Laboratory). Additional courses/labs as requested may also include EE 302 (Professional Skills in Computing and Engineering), EE 477 (Analog Integrated Circuits Laboratory), and EE 494 (Protective Relay Labs) (for details: https://school.eecs.wsu.edu/academics/undergraduate-program/electrical-engineering/syllabi/).
Applicants must have earned a master’s degree (Ph.D. degree is preferred) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
