The Anesthesiology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Research Associate 1. Incumbent will support interdisciplinary research programs as well as interact with the department’s faculty, scientists, fellows and support staff in relevant training activities. Existing research is focused on utilizing a variety of methods and models to define the molecular and cellular mechanisms of susceptibility to chronic and neuropathic pain and drug abuse, with the ultimate goal of developing novel therapeutics with viral vectors. Performs other duties as assigned. The minimum requirements are: Master degree required. PhD, MD or DVM preferred. One (1) to (3) years of relevant work experience with evidence of tangible contributions to the dissemination of new research information. Able to work in interdisciplinary setting. Good oral /written communication skills. Problem solving and ability to integrate detailed analysis into larger context. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
