Description of Position
The engineering department at Diablo Valley College is expanding its pool of applicants teaching various lower division transfer courses common to most engineering disciplines. The department is currently recruiting adjunct faculty interested in teaching courses in Thermodynamics, Computer Programming (C++), Engineering Drawing, Technology and Society, and Introduction to Circuits and Devices in Spring semester of 2016.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
The applicant must possess one of the following qualifications (earned degrees must be from an accredited college/university):

1. Master's degree or higher in any field of engineering; OR

2. Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, or geology; OR

3. A valid California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing full-time instruction in engineering OR

Desirable Qualifications
1. M.S. or higher in engineering

2. A degree in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering

3. Teaching experience, particularly in a community college

4. Professional experience working as an engineer
