West Virginia University Medicine’s Department of Medicine is recruiting gastroenterologists to join the 7 current faculty in the digestive diseases division. Our GI service line of professionals offer a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, treat a diverse population, and have exposure to clinically challenging cases in our expanding endoscopy center with a suite for ERCPs and adjacent clinics. There is tremendous institutional support for academic pursuits particularly pertaining to chronic viral hepatitis.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.
The Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center has a full complement of academic programs in the clinical and basic sciences. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents and gastroenterology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.
