Job Summary/Basic Function: Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Assessment Coordinator will support the University's outcomes assessment program in support of SACSCOC reaffirmation, and state and federal reporting. This includes annual outcomes assessment training and reporting, assessment of the core curriculum, support of academic program review, and strategic plan monitoring. This is a professional position responsible for working cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administration to develop effective assessment initiatives that will improve student learning and university operations.

Work Hours: Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. May work beyond normal office hours and weekends.

Qualifications

Education

Necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in social sciences, research methodology, statistics, or a closely related field.

Experience

Necessary Qualifications: Seven years of experience with outcomes assessment in a higher education setting.

First-hand experience assessing student learning outcomes in an academic setting.

Expertise in assessment, research design, data analysis, and educational outcomes. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods of assessing student learning. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all members of the University community in a consultative role to develop, implement, and monitor outcomes assessment.

Ability to work cooperatively with others and provide excellent customer service to students, employees, and the community. Ability to multi task.
