Job Summary/Basic Function: The College of Education & Human Development, Department of Counseling, Health & Kinesiology, seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning fall, 2017. The appointment is for an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in Kinesiology, including (but not limited to) biomechanics, measurement and evaluation, testing and prescription, motor development/learning, sports sociology, motor skills for special populations, while working collaboratively with faculty to build a comprehensive Kinesiology program supporting diverse populations. The supervision of students in internship class is also possible. Mentorship and advisement of students are essential in addition to the involvement in campus activities and other responsibilities, as deemed necessary. Scholarly activity with publications in referred journals as well as attendance and presentations at professional meetings is essential. Quality performance will also be expected in teaching, student mentorship, community service, as well as active University Committee participation.
Work Hours: Depends on course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and weekend courses.

Necessary Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Kinesiology from a regionally accredited institution.
ABD may be considered if completed by beginning of teaching semester.
