Job Summary
Angelo State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Management at the Assistant Professor level. This full-time, nine-month, position would start in Fall of 2017, although an earlier start date is possible.
Effective teaching, service and publication in refereed journals is required for tenure, consistent with the policies of the College of Business and Angelo State University. All candidates are expected to be qualified as a Scholarly Academic (SA) and to maintain that status during employment in accordance with Angelo State University's College of Business Faculty
Qualifications Guidelines. Salary and benefits for this position are competitive and will depend on individual candidate qualifications.
Angelo State is currently accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and has initiated the process for attaining business accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
A representative from Angelo State will be available to meet with interested candidates during the 2016 Academy of Business Research in San Antonio, TX. Interested candidates should contact Brian Kulik, Chair of the Management and Marketing Department, at to arrange a time to meet. Candidates are not required to attend the annual meeting to be considered for this position.

The teaching load will include undergraduate and graduate courses in Entrepreneurship, while developing and possibly teaching courses in related areas: Small Business Management, Innovation, Family Business, Business Plan Development, etc. It is expected that the professor in this position will actively engage with San Angelo's Small Business Development Center, which enjoys a special relationship and history with ASU's College of Business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Applicants should be dynamic and have the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students and with a small business development center or business incubator. Candidates should be dedicated to excellence in teaching and be able to use multimedia equipment for classroom presentations.

Record of engagement with a local business development community.
Doctoral degree in Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurship or related area from an AACSB accredited university required by appointment date.
Scholarly Academic (SA) status at time of appointment.
Demonstrated effective teaching record.
Excellent written and oral English skills.
Record of or potential for scholarly research and publications.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, it is preferred that the candidate have an interest in one of the following secondary fields:

International Business
Quantitative methods/analytics
