Assistant Producer - Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts
The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts seeks an Assistant Producer. Founded in 2003, the Fisher Center is multidisciplinary performing arts producing and presenting organization with a Frank Gehry-designed multi-venue facility on the campus of Bard College in New York’s Hudson River Valley. The Center is home to Bard College's Theater & Performance and Dance Programs and serves a variety of the College’s graduate and undergraduate programs. The Assistant Producer reports to the Fisher Center’s Senior Producer and works closely with the Program Administrator of the Theater & Performance and Dance Programs. The Assistant Producer provides project management, logistics, and artist services for the Dance and Theater & Performance Programs and the Fisher Center. Primary responsibilities include contract and budget management, serving as the primary artist services representative for fall and spring programs, managing project documentation and archiving, and assisting the Senior Producer and Program Administrator with project communication and execution.
The successful candidate will be a hard-working individual who is enthusiastic about the Fisher Center’s and Bard College’s missions; excel at working independently on several deadline-driven projects simultaneously while being a committed team player; have exceptional attention to detail; possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and work from a hospitality-focused mindset. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds are required. The position requires frequent and regular work on evenings and weekends. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of fulltime experience in a fast-paced, high-project-volume work environment, preferable in an arts or education organization.
This is a non-exempt, full-time, year-round position eligible for Bard College’s group benefits. The position is located at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
