Duties: At the direction of the Coordinator Network Physics and Dosimetry and under the supervision of a Qualified Medical Physicist (QMP), the Medical Physicist A will participate in meeting the overall clinical physics needs of the Radiation Oncology Section. Specifically, the Medical Physicist A will participate in all of the technical areas including Linear Accelerator and Proton Therapy Unit QA, treatment planning needs and special treatment procedures.
In addition to the above, the Medical Physicist B is a board certified Medical Physicist who will participate in meeting the overall clinical physics needs of the Radiation Oncology Section. The Medical Physicist B is expected to maintain knowledge of current technologies and applicable regulations and remain an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.

Qualifications: Medical Physicist A-M.Sc. with 2 years of relevant work experience and qualified to become certified by the American Board of Radiology, or in the process or becoming ABR certified, in Therapeutic Medical Physics (formerly known as Therapeutic Radiobiological Physics).

Medical Physicist B: Master s Degree, Board Certification (by ABR or ABMP), 5 years of relevant clinical experience.
