Position Information: The Administrative Officer position serves as an integral part of the daily administrative operations for the Research and Economic Development organization and all departments/units within the control unit, which include, * Research and Economic Development * Proposal Development Office * Corporate Partnerships Office * Office of Technology Commercialization * Sponsored Programs Administration * Research Integrity * Campus Veterinarian * Campus Vivaria * Research Centers like: Brain Game Center, Center for Advanced Neuroimaging (CAN), Central Facility for Advanced Microscopy and Microanalysis (CFAMM), Center for Economic Development and Innovation (CEDI), Research Computing Facility * UC Mexus. PLEASE NOTE: This position will be part of Research & Economic Development / Vice Chancellor - Research organization.
Minimum Requirements: Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing.
Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.
