Responsibilities:

The Communication Studies Department invites applications for a communication generalist to teach Introduction to Communication Studies and other courses in an area of expertise or department need. Introduction to Communication Studies is the foundational course for our major and usually enrolls 150 to 200 students a semester.

Qualifications:

To be considered, candidates must have: (1) A Ph.D. in Communication Studies at the time of appointment; (2) Documented experience teaching large section communication studies courses; (3) A record of scholarly activity (presentation at conferences and/or published research).

This is a one-year position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor (depending on qualifications). The position is renewable with the possibility of extending the term of appointment. The starting date is September 1, 2017.
