CHIEF DIVERSITY OFFICER
Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota welcomes applications and nominations for the college's founding position of Chief Diversity Officer (CDO). The CDO will play a central leadership role in developing a broad and compelling vision for the role of diversity and inclusion at the college in support of institutional excellence.
Concordia College is a private, global, liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Concordia's 120-acre campus is located in Moorhead, Minn., and is a part of the larger Fargo, N.D. - Moorhead, Minnesota metro area, which has a population of approximately 224,000, including nearly 30,000 college students enrolled at four public and private colleges and universities in the area. Concordia enrolls more than 2,100 students from 37 states and 28 countries representing 39 religious traditions and denominations.
The CDO at Concordia College will be charged to support and enhance all aspects of the college's diversity and inclusion efforts. The newly established position will report to President William J. Craft and be a key member of the president's cabinet. The CDO will work closely with faculty and staff across the campus in advancing a broad leadership agenda addressing critical aspects of diversity and inclusion on the campus and in the community.
The successful candidate for the position of founding Chief Diversity Officer will hold an advanced academic degree and have significant experience and expertise in building and supporting initiatives that promote diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
