Department Psychology Position

The Psychology Department at Texas State University invites applications for a Senior Lecturer effective Fall 2017. Senior Lecturers are eligible for a five-year term. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:
1. Teach 3 undergraduate course sections per semester of Experimental Design and Research Methods (PSY 3402) that includes a 3-hour lecture and 2-hour lab per week;
2. Teach at both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses;
3. Participate in institutional and professional service; and
4. Exhibit a collaborative style that facilitates cooperation and teamwork in the Psychology Department.

Required Qualifications

M.A. in psychology or a closely-related field and evidence of university teaching effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in psychology or a closely-related field; Experience teaching research methodology or other psychology courses; Record of publication or other experience with research methodology in psychology; and Excellent written and oral communication skills.
