FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Behavioral Sciences and Human Services at Kingsborough Community College is seeking candidates to teach undergraduate Education courses as needed, on a semester-by-semester basis.The courses with immediate need include Art Workshop in Education, Music and Movement, Workshop in Education, and Early Childhood Educational Curriculum. It is also expected that there will be a need for expertise in our two new courses: Educational Practices for Early Language and Literacy Development and Infant/Toddler Development.

The candidate will be expected to conference with students, attend program and department meetings, participate in program committees and display evidence of scholarship.

QUALIFICATIONS

The applicant must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Education. The candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in the field of Education with classroom experience teaching children. Candidates should be able to express a strong commitment to teaching and a philosophy dedicated to contructivism.

Prior college level teaching experience and evidence of scholarly activity preferred. The candidate should show a willingness to cooperate with others and contribute to furthering the mission of the college, department and program.

COMPENSATION

$70.53 - $87.80 per hour.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
