Posting Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor position. Responsibilities include providing clinical services to the Medical Center's general adult psychiatry unit and addictions services. The incumbent is expected to participate in supervision and training of psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students. The incumbent may be required to provide consult liaison service care, call for nights and weekends, and backup call for psychiatry service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician with interests in academic psychiatry and addictions psychiatry, teaching and research. Salary and tenure status are contingent upon candidate qualifications. If hired as tenure-ineligible, part-time effort is available and will be discussed with candidates.

Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent and be board-certified in Psychiatry by time of start date. If hired as tenure ineligible, this position may be eligible to convert to tenure-track at an appropriate time in the future, consistent with SOM Promotion and Tenure guidelines and candidate qualifications.
