LaGuardia Community College seeks an Associate Professor of Veterinary Technology to teach courses in the Veterinary Technology Program. The candidate will perform teaching, support departmental, divisional and college initiatives; provide academic advisement to students; participate in local/state/national affiliate meetings as necessary; keep current in the field of Veterinary medicine; and conduct scholarly activity and disseminate results to academic and professional audiences. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.


Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M or V.M.D) and.or Ph.D Degree in related field required. New York State Veterinarian License required. Those eligible for NYS license will also be considered. 5 years experience in basic Veterinary surgical and anesthesia techniques required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institute.
