Reporting line

This position reports to the Senior Director of Recruitment, North America, with a dotted line to the Director of New Center Operations.

Job Overview

Support the global marketing and recruitment launch of the INTO program by serving as primary project manager on a wide variety of student recruitment activities in coordination with new university partners and INTO North America resources.

Key accountabilities and duties

Responsibilities of the position will evolve and change over time but will include the following:

  • Act as primary project manager to drive enrollment and ensure that enrollment targets are met or exceeded
  • Develop sales and marketing strategy in coordination with INTO’s NA recruitment team as well INTO’s Global Recruitment Unit (GRU). Including the creation and implementation of a country-by-county recruitment plan and calendar that ensures enrollment targets are met or exceeded
  • Collaborate with INTO NA Business Development in new partner engagement, academic program design and other recruitment related initiatives as needed 
  • Work closely with INTO’s Start up team once partnership is established on all recruitment related items
  • Collaborate with INTO NA Recruitment and Marketing teams to ensure timely & accurate release of supporting recruitment & marketing materials for global recruiters to help drive enrollment
  • Provide ongoing training, support and detailed program knowledge of the partner university and center to global recruiters
  • Work closely with the university’s International Recruitment and Admissions teams to ensure that accurate information about programs, requirements and admissions processes are communicated to potential applicants and global recruiters
  • Work with the university’s international office to cultivate existing international partnerships, exchange programs, existing agent relationships, and alums to support recruitment activities
  • Train center and university staff who go out to market to assist with recruitment efforts and coordinate recruitment trips on behalf of new centers
  • Support INTO’s GRU and represent new INTO JVs at recruitment events overseas as needed
  • Support communication and engagement between the university's international admissions office and INTO’s GRU
  • Assist INTO NA Recruitment staff with managing the center’s annual marketing and recruitment budget and provide regular reports showing progress against recruitment goals
  • Assist INTO NA Recruitment staff with managing new partner scholarship budgets
  • Participate in recruitment and selection process for permanent Marketing and Recruitment Manager to be based in-center; lead that individual’s training and onboarding
  • Support new center Marketing and Communications Manager with FAM Trip planning
  • Lead new INTO NA recruitment initiatives as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.


The Start-Up Student Recruitment Manager will be assigned to work within the Recruitment team within INTO North America. He/ she will be involved in workgroup planning for prospective partners; this will require spending significant time on site at new partner university location(s). When not actively working with the new center team, this position will be utilized in the functional department as well as other INTO centers.

  Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. and travel abroad
  • Experience working in a university setting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in international student recruitment, market research, planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including demonstrated expertise in Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience creating and using database/CRM for reporting on applications, offers and enrollments
  • Outstanding presentation skills and expertise in Powerpoint or Keynote
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-English-speaking students


  • Experience with project management tools such as Basecamp and/or Asana
  • Experience developing & implementing a recruitment/marketing plan
  • New business start-up experience
  • International student recruitment experience
