The Department of Modern Languages invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in Spanish, to begin August 2017. This is a non tenure-track, renewable appointment. The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Hispanic linguistics or Hispanic Literature and Culture, or the equivalent. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish is required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in language teaching at the undergraduate level. The ability to teach Spanish for the Professions and/or French or Italian is desirable, but not required. The course load is three courses per semester, primarily at the Introductory and Intermediate levels.
