In this entry level professional role, provide analytical support to supervisor, Assistant Vice President and Vice President in New York University's Office of Budget and Financial Planning. Work in close collaboration with Financial Operations & Treasury, Enrollment Management, School, and Administrative and Auxiliary unit financial officers and their staff. Evaluate budget modifications, conduct research, analyze budget data and perform variance analysis. Provide statistical data, investigate, and resolve budget discrepancies.Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other analytical discipline

Required Experience:
3 years quantitative analytical experience, preferably in finance or accounting.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong quantitative and modeling skills. Ability to use databases, workflow systems, and presentation and standard query tool software. Ability to understand management requirements and broader processes and to frame the result of research and financial analysis in a clear and concise fashion. Demonstrated proficiency with intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
