The Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine is anticipating openings for Junior, Assistant, Associate and Full Specialist to work in the following divisions and programs:
Adolescent Medicine * Genetics/Metabolic Disorders
Pediatric Neurology * Allergy/Immunology
Hematology/Oncology * Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
Cardiology * Infectious Diseases
Pulmonary * Child Development Center
Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine * Pediatric Surgery
Endocrinology * Nephrology
Pediatric Urology * General Pediatrics
Applications are being sought for candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds and specialized training.
The minimum degree required for the rank of Junior Specialist is a BS or BA.
The minimum degree for all other ranks in this series is an MD and/or PhD.
This is an on-going recruitment. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
