Duties: Plan/perform research and administrative tasks in an evolving, medium-sized research group that concentrates in tobacco addiction research, including laboratory studies, and medication and behavioral treatment clinical trials. The successful candidate will have experience collecting research data, interacting with research participants and working well as part of a team. Specific activities include: (1) Manage and coordinate recruitment efforts across several protocols; conduct telephone eligibility screenings; complete in-person study visits; consent participants; oversee study sessions. Manage the overall study calendar; (2) Develop/maintain training materials; Train personnel on center-wide and study-specific SOPs (e.g. data entry/QC, phone screening, data collection, computerized behavioral tasks) across several projects; (3) Conduct behavioral smoking cessation counseling using a manualized treatment; (4) Supervise 1-2 new research assistants; (5) Assist PI with regulatory materials and IRB submissions; (6) Manage study product accountability, including medication; maintain inventory records of study related materials and equipment for multiple protocols; (7) Attend weekly lab and staff meetings; report directly to PI.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The candidate should: (1) have practical experience working in a research setting be comfortable interacting with research subjects & research staff. (2) Be familiar with collecting data through neurocognitive and/or behavioral tasks. (3) Have regulatory experience (i.e. submitting protocols/consent, adverse event reporting, etc.). (5) Be organized and able to perform in a deadline driven environment. (6) Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
