Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of Alabama invites applications for two full-time instructor positions to begin August 2017. Teaching responsibilities include four courses per semester, along with some expectation of departmental service associated with instruction and/or advising. Specific teaching assignments will depend on the expertise of the candidate hired. These positions carry three-year renewable contracts. Candidates with a Master's degree or J.D. will be considered, but a Ph.D. in a social science discipline related to the study of crime and justice is preferred. The Department of Criminal Justice has a growing faculty and strong Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.
