Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Leadership and Service Center Director provides vision, guidance and oversight for the leadership and community service initiatives of the Division of Student Affairs. These programs are intended to enhance students' understanding and practice of leadership and develop and promote responsible campus and community citizenship through the use of leadership education and associated programs.

These programs may include, but are not limited to, leadership development, student involvement, spirit programs, women in leadership, workplace leadership, recognition programs, and community service and civic learning. This position also provides and implements leadership training for designated students and student organizations including developing individual students through personalized leadership coaching sessions.

This position trains and supervises 5 full time professional staff, 3 graduate students, and undergraduate and graduate practicum students and interns.


Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Student Personnel Services or related field and 5 years related experience, or bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience.

This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies. A valid driver's license is also required to obtain authorization to drive state-owned vehicles.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience with staff supervision, budget development and data collection and assessment; strong background in planning and developing student engagement experiences on a college campus.
