COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGIST C
Duties: Psychologist with extensive expertise conducting and training in Cognitive Therapy with individuals who have severe mental illness in residential, community treatment teams, and inpatient settings. Primary responsibilities will involve the implementation of Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy, including workshop, group consultation, milieu demonstration, and ongoing support for treatment of adults. Implementation will include community mental health and inpatient psychiatric facilities. Psychologist will also be involved in research and program evaluation efforts, as well as present findings at international and national conference. Must have expertise in Cognitive Therapy with individuals suffering from severe mental illness, experience working within the Philadelphia community mental health system, and be familiar with Community Behavioral Health and other government run public mental health payers. Additional responsibilities will involve overseeing development of group-based Cognitive Therapy for individuals with schizophrenia and supervision of Doctoral and/or Masters Level staff in their psychological efforts. Position may also involve delivery of individual and/or group therapy. Psychologist will also supervise post-doctoral fellows in their training. Psychologist must be license eligible in the state of Pennsylvania.
Qualifications: Highly advanced professional discipline. PhD, PsyD or equivalent doctoral degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Psychologist must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Pennsylvania without restriction or limitation.
