The Department of Clinical and Digital Health Sciences (CDHS) has recently attracted faculty with public health research interests, has increased the number of externally funded projects in public health, and has been successful in merging health technology solutions with research initiatives. General Duties and Responsibilities
Augusta University, formerly known as The Medical College of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical and Digital Health Sciences to engage in Allied Health with emphasis in Nutrition and in the Dietetic Internship program (MS-DI). This is a 12-month appointment. Candidates will find an academic environment that encourages and supports research activities such as grant writing and publication of peer reviewed articles.
Minimum qualifications include:
• Earned a Master's degree in nutrition or related disciplines from an accredited university
• Be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
• Be eligible for a dietetic license in the State of Georgia (at the time of hiring)
• Have at least 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
• Demon strated excellence in preceptorship for dietetic interns
• Demonstrate interest and potential in research
• Posses excellent oral and written communication skills
