Associate Director, Academic Assessment

Description:
The Associate Director, Academic Assessment provides expertise and support for Emerson's assessment efforts by working collaboratively with faculty, staff and students to define, implement and document best practices for the assessment of student learning. This position reports to the Executive Director, Library and Learning.

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
A Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related field. Advanced knowledge in theory and practice for effective assessment of co-curricular and students learning outcomes. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to advise others in a complex teaching and learning environment.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Experience with Canvas or other learning management systems

Required Prior Work Experience:
Three to five years’ experience working to create a culture of assessment in a higher education or secondary school environment.
