Adult Basic Education Instructor (Contractual)

Description/Job Summary

This position is responsible for:

Providing instruction to students enrolled in the Adult Education Program. The Adult Education Program offers literacy, Pre-GED and GED courses. Additional responsibilities may include teaching, development of course syllabus and instructional materials, student assessment, and student record keeping.

Each course is designed to be responsive to the needs and expectations of the diverse community college and students served. The incumbent will help students achieve their career and learning goals.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum three (3) years' of classroom instruction
  • Ability to use technology for instruction/student reporting purposes
  • Commitment to the mission and philosophy of the community college

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in teaching adult education
