General Summary: The Department of Sociology and Human Services at The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a full-time, ten-month, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Sociology with a primary area of specialization in Latino/a Studies. Additional areas of expertise are open.

Located in the fastest-growing region of the state, the University of North Georgia is a multi-campus university with an enrollment of over 18,000 students, making it one of the largest institutions in the University System of Georgia. Federally designated as a senior military college, one of the university's signature leadership programs is its 800-member Corps of Cadets on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. This position will be based on the Gainesville Campus.

  • Teach courses according to the needs of the department

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • PhD in Sociology at the time of appointment. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered (Ph.D. must be in hand by the hire date).
