The Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications and nominations for a clinical assistant professor, non-tenure-track position, effective August 16, 2017. The nine-month appointment is a two-year, renewable contract.

The clinical faculty in Research Methods in Education (RMinE) will be responsible for carrying out teaching and service within the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation, specifically in the area of Research Methods in Education. This individual will teach 12-15 credits per academic year of both qualitative and quantitative research methods courses, predominately in an online setting. As well, this individual will be responsible for creating and fostering partnerships with K-12 school districts, state education organizations, and area universities. This will include the creation of recruitment and retention initiatives in RMinE and the development of projects with community partners. This faculty member will actively participate in the implementation, development, community liaising, evaluation, and promotion of the new RMinE graduate certificate and master's degree program, and will consult and advise RMinE graduate students.

Main duties and responsibilities of this position include the following: teach graduate-level courses in the area of Research Methods in Education (RMinE) in an online format; support the implementation and promotion of the master's in RMinE and the graduate certificate in RMinE; create and foster partnerships with K-12 school districts, education organizations, and university partners; engage with the broader scholarly and professional communities; promote the program within and beyond the University; assist with advising of graduate students and serve on exam committees for RMinE; serve as the liaison for K-12 educators and administrators looking to complete additional teacher certification requirements; and assist in the development of learning materials and maintaining records to monitor student progress and success for RMinE.
