The Graduate School of Psychology at California Lutheran University is seeking a Director of Community Counseling Services to begin immediately. The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate outstanding commitment to clinical training, effective management, and clinical service provision. We are also looking for a candidate who can show exemplary dedication to mentoring and working closely with clients and graduate student trainees from under-represented backgrounds, consistent with Cal Lutheran's designation as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI).
Community Counseling Services provides low-fee, bilingual services to clients through its locations in Oxnard and Westlake Village. The centers are staffed by four full-time administrative assistants and all clinical work is provided by approximately 60 graduate students or MFT interns supervised by over 20 licensed clinicians. The centers typically provide over 12,000 sessions annually to individuals, couples, families, children, and adults. Specialized programs are offered for Intimate Partner Violence and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and we have new initiatives in the treatment of first responders and in the provision of psychological assessment services. The CCS is part of the Graduate School of Psychology which also includes an APA-accredited PsyD program, an MS in Counseling Psychology (MFT emphasis) program, and an MS in Clinical Psychology.

The main campus of Cal Lutheran is conveniently located midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, within ten minutes of the Southern California coast and beaches. CCS Oxnard and CCS Westlake Village serve clients throughout Ventura and Western LA counties.
Applicants must have credentials equivalent to: PhD, PsyD, LMFT, or LCSW in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or a related field; post-licensure experience in the provision of direct clinical services and clinical supervision; and experience in administration. Primary responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing the Community Counseling Services, collaborating with the Dean and Program Directors to develop and implement programs that integrate student coursework and clinical training, supervising and evaluating staff, budget oversight, assessing program quality and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with California laws and the ethics of AAMFT and APA, monitoring and ensuring the quality of clinical services conducted by graduate students, interns, and supervisors, community outreach, serving on committees, and establishing collaborative relationships within the School, University and broader community.
