Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of Psychology provides instruction, support research, and performs public service functions for undergraduates, graduate students, and the community. Instruction in undergraduate and graduate studies is provided to psychology majors and students in other academic disciplines. Research in psychology is carried on as an important part of academic duties by the faculty, and by undergraduate and graduate students as part of their academic studies. Faculty members with scientific and profession knowledge provide services to the University, to NC, and to the nation through extension teaching, and consultation.

Essential Job Duties: The position is time-limited with an anticipated duration of one to three years. The primary purpose of this position is to manage everyday operations of the Adult Development Lab in the Department of Psychology. This position is designed to support the research activities associated with the funded project: organizing day-to-day activities of lab, coordinating team members' schedules, supervising hourly workers, recruiting research volunteers from the community, testing these volunteers, entering data in the computer, maintaining databases, and performing miscellaneous clerical jobs to assist the Principal Investigator.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Department Required Skills: A background in psychology or related social science, 2) an interest in research, and 3) excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Bachelor's Degree; major in Psychology or related field, prefer two to three years experience in working with research projects.
