Job Description:

Due to practice expansion, the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of Florida is seeking a board certified/board eligible adult neurosurgeon for non-tenure clinical track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position. Candidates should have a special expertise in trauma as demonstrated by working in a high volume trauma center, be dedicated to providing the perfect patient experience and have significant expertise in Complex Spine Neurosurgery.

This faculty member will provide complex spine care in our outpatient clinic and in our inpatient service, performing ER consults as well as teaching residents and medical students. In addition, this faculty member will be expected to participate on committees that represent the Department of Neurosurgery as requested by the Chairman and attend faculty meeting and divisional conferences as required.

Advertised Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and specialized area of expertise.

Minimum Requirements:

Board Certified M.D.

Final candidate will be required to provide official transcripts to the hiring department upon hire.  A transcript will not be considered "official" if a designation of "Issued to Student" is visible.  Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approval by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which can be found at http://naces.org/.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise in Complex Spine Neurosurgery.
