Asst Director Upward Bound 2
Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Upward Bound 2 provides services to project participants, maintains relationships with partner schools, coordinates day-to-day operations and schedules activities, programs and speakers for the UB after-school program. He/she will also coordinate academic support services, monitor academic progress of students, and assist with the summer residential program. This position reports to the Director of Upward Bound Projects and is grant-funded. Regular travel to partner school sites is required. #CB

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of 3 years experience working in student support services or federally funded programs. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and program development, implementation and evaluation required. Two or more years professional experience working with first-generation and socially, educationally, and economically deprived populations required. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. (Additional Job Specific Technology) #CB
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
