Position Summary: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate applied oboe. They will also participate in student recruitment, auditions, recital hearings, committees, and governance structures of the school. Additional responsibilities include teaching MUS 121 Introduction to Listening, coaching chamber music, leading weekly studio/repertoire class, and performing with the Capstone Wind Quintet, the faculty wind quintet of the University of Alabama. They must sustain a successful recruitment/retention record, engage in creative/scholarly activities, and provide service contributions appropriate for a university faculty member.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The School of Music at The University of Alabama invites applications for full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Oboe. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and designated rank. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate applied oboe. They will also participate in student recruitment, auditions, recital hearings, committees, and governance structures of the school. A minimum of a Masters degree, University-level teaching experience, and significant performance experience is required.
