Job Summary: The University of Georgia School of Social Work invites dynamic applicants for the position of Director of Field Education. The Director provides cutting edge innovative leadership and supervision of the Field Education Office and program and oversees the placement of approximately 450 Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work students each year in compliance with Council on Social Work Education standards for field education. Responsibilities include evaluation of student learning and field requirements congruent with SSW competencies and fostering the development of alternative field placement models (summer block placements, evening and weekend placements, sharing of interns across sites, global field placements, and placements that support distance learning students). The Director is also responsible for the development of new field education/research placement opportunities and the successful maintenance of relationships with existing agency partners. The Director will serve in a leadership role as a member of the Dean's Administrative Committee and advises the Dean, the MSW and BSW Program Directors, and the faculty on matters pertaining to field education.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have an MSW degree and minimum 3-5 years post-MSW social work experience. Candidates must have prior experience in field education, student supervision, in addition to administrative experience and a working knowledge of the CSWE 2015 Educational Policy & Accreditation Standards.

Preferred Qualifications: Individuals with a Doctoral degree are preferred and encouraged to apply.
