Assistant Professor of Psychology

Job description

The Department of Psychology at Alma College, Alma, Michigan invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor.  This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning August, 2017.

Candidates should have primary expertise in cognitive psychology.  Teaching responsibilities will include the courses Cognition, and Introductory Psychology. The ability to teach courses addressing other departmental needs such as Sensation and Perception, Developmental Psychology, Evolutionary Psychology, Senior Seminar, Psychological Statistics, and Research Methods will be to the candidate’s advantage. The ability to contribute to the Neuroscience program would be helpful.  Teaching load is six units per year.  There are also opportunities to create new courses to fit faculty interests.  Laboratory space and some start-up funds are available.  A Ph.D. or equivalent is required for tenure-track appointment.
