Assistant EngineerJob Description:
The faculty member will participate in course design, instruction, and related educational effectiveness research of undergraduate computer science courses. The faculty member will be placed in the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering and work with the IE³ Director, the CISE department chair, and department and institute faculty in design of course content to meet student learning outcome needs. This faculty member will be encouraged to employ innovate teaching through flipped classrooms, adaptive learning, online course delivery, paperless classrooms, and other pedagogical methods for effective learning of programming languages. The faculty member is expected to contribute to scholarly journal publications, presentations, and professional society meetings related to STEM undergraduate education.
Teaching, revising and developing undergraduate level courses; Assignments will be made according to background and experience and will consist of three courses per semester; Courses may include on-line as well as face-to-face instruction. In addition, there may be other service and teaching activities as directed by the department chair.Advertised Salary:

Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related fieldPreferred Qualifications: Preferred Experience in some or all of the following: education within computer science or closely related field; course design and instruction within computer science or closely related engineering undergraduate courses; professional qualifications within engineering education and/or research experience into pedagogy, teaching and learning within engineering or computer science.
