Job Summary: The Department of English at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor in Creative Writing. We seek a widely published and diversely engaged writer working in fiction or non-fiction prose with related interests in other genres and / or fields. The position will begin August 2017. Candidates must have completed the M.F.A. or Ph.D. by the start date. Successful applicants will demonstrate ability to work with PhD students at every stage of the process (graduate seminars, comprehensive exams, creative dissertations). The teaching load is 2-2 and includes undergraduate and graduate creative writing workshops as well as literature classes and seminars at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
