Job Summary: The Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies at the University of Georgia (Athens) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship with a specialization in German film and media studies, to begin mid-August, 2017. Two-course teaching load per semester, including all levels of language instruction as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate (MA) seminars with an emphasis on film, media, and visual culture. Potential opportunities exist to develop cross-listed courses (in English) for students in units such as the Department of Theater and Film and the Department of Entertainment and Media Studies in UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
